Port Sailing School and St. Croix Sailing Charters - the fun way to learn to sail!
St. Croix Sailing Charters is a branch of Long Island based Port Sailing School in Port Washington, NY. Port Sailing School was founded by Chris Nihill in 2004 with three older boats and a dream to pass on his love for sailing to people who never got the chance to learn. Port Sailing School offers a range of lessons and sailing activities for all ages, from kids programs and teenage sailing camp, to adult programs such as St. Croix Sailing Charters. We are certified by the American Sailing Association to to teach sailing and administer certification tests. By becoming ASA certified through our programs, our students are able to rent boats from any ASA approved location, and most importantly, contribute to a safe sailing environment in harbors around the country. In addition, rentals are able in the Port Washington fleet, which includes a J 24 "Mighty Mouse" and Beneteau 36, "Sail La Vie".
With top of the line sloops and highly trained instructors, together we strive to spark a passion for sailing in new sailors, (or rekindle it in old sailors), and provide a safe and fun sailing opportunities to anyone who's had the dream to sail.
